Privacy and data
Exactly what the extension sends to Lark, and what it never touches.
What the extension sends to Lark
| When | What is sent |
|---|---|
| You save a page, press Read later, or subscribe | The page address, and the feed address for subscriptions. |
| You open the panel | The page title and description, so Lark can build the preview. |
| You open or switch to a tab | The page address, so the icon can show whether it is already saved. |
| You visit a page you have already saved | A short "you were here" ping, at most once every 15 minutes per page, so Lark knows which saved links you return to. |
| You visit a page that links to feeds | The feed addresses, to check whether you already subscribe. |
What it never sends
- Text you select or highlight on a page.
- Notes, tags, or collections. Lark chooses tags and a collection on its own, and you edit them in the web app.
- Your password or cookies. The extension uses a token Lark issues to it; see Connecting your account.
- Anything from private or incognito windows. In those windows the extension does not check whether pages are saved and sends no pings.
Disconnecting
To stop the extension from talking to your account, open your Account page and press Disconnect on the Browser extension card. Removing the extension from the browser has the same effect.
